These city lights, turn into street lights
I’m running fast, to find where they all collide
But I’m only on my feet, you never showed me those lines
Now you’re far from this town, you cast a glow that drifts all around
When you’re standing up on the top
Just call my name, and I’ll take a breath
As you pass your stunning light, down on our coldest nights
And when were falling back into to place
Is when our lives begin
If you could show me how to light up these lights
With both of my feet on the ground
I’ll hold tightly as you teach us how to rise above these lies
Painting the night, taking all those fights, placing them away from our sights
So take a look now, you took us to the end
The winter nights haunting over our minds
A warmth that will be missed
A night to turn to light, when all hope is gone
You pick us up, with those wings
So I’ll close my eyes, if you light these skies
Take away the coldest of nights
Cast you’re glow which drifts all around
Cause you will be missed
